Why councils keep engaging us

We're set up the way council asset and procurement teams need us to be — paperwork-ready, priced straight, and audit-clean from shift one.

Panel-ready

COIs for $20M Public & Products Liability, $50M Professional Indemnity, Workers Compensation via icare NSW — all current, all supplied on request before we're in the system.

Audit-friendly

Every shift closes with a Daily Diary. TMP, TGS, pre-start briefings, incident reports and photos collated in a close-out pack that sits cleanly in council records.

Compliance-first

TfNSW-accredited designers and implementers. AS 1742.3:2019 controls. SafeWork NSW WHS system. Our standard is the current Austroads + TCAWS supplements, not a 2019 template.

Straight pricing

Fixed-fee TMPs. Itemised day-rates by role. Penalty rates, after-hours loadings and standing-down fees called out on the quote — no surprises in the Sundry Items line.

Engagement routes

Four ways to get us on your next job

From standing offer to an after-hours incident call, we're set up for the way NSW councils already procure traffic control.

Standing offer / panel

We'll complete your prequal docs (financial, insurance, WHS system, capability statement) and accept an ongoing standing-offer engagement at your schedule of rates.

Open tender

We respond to EOIs and RFTs with a technical + commercial submission inside your window. Provide the tender pack and we lodge via eTendering or your portal of choice.

Direct quote

For specific jobs under a council's delegated spend limit, we turn around a written fixed-fee quote in two business hours with TMP allowance scoped.

Emergency callout

After-hours asset failures, incidents, storm response — email us at hello@aussietrafficcontrol.com.au. We book a crew inside 60 minutes across Greater Sydney and most of regional NSW.

How a council job runs

From prequal to close-out

Five steps. Nothing exotic — just the way disciplined traffic management runs end-to-end.

  1. Prequalification

COI, PI, workers comp, WHS system, conflict-of-interest declaration, corporate structure, financial viability statement — exchanged before the first job.

  2. Scope + brief

Council asset officer briefs the scope, classification, duration, hours and any stakeholder constraints. We build the TMP allowance into the quote.

  3. TMP + TGS design

Our PWZ-accredited designer drafts the TMP and TGS. If council has a template for low-risk work, we use it; for anything above that we build it bespoke.

  4. Delivery

ITCP-qualified crew on site with your nominated supervisor. Daily Diaries, pre-start briefings, toolbox talks, incident escalation into your safety system.

  5. Close-out

Post-works report, site-return photos, all records bundled for your file. Variations, if any, documented and reconciled before the final invoice.
